The Quick Action Lug is compatible with suspension mount systems that connect into the tension rods and have the rims sitting on the rubber grommets, similar to systems like the RIMS mount (see http://www.gaugerpercussion.com/ ). This system usually connects into four of the tension rods. The disadvantage of this mounting setup is the drum must be taken off of the mount before the head can be changed. It also makes it clunky to deal with the rims-type mount hanging on the tension rods.
| The RK32 drum lugs contain a lower mounting hole where a 7/16" outside diameter spacer can be inserted and a RIMS style isolation system attached to the lug via the spacer. The spacer is held by the lug's lower mounting screw, and then the RIMS-type mount can be attached to the axially threaded hole in the 7/16" rod. |
